The Chicago Blackhawks were cruising at the Madhouse on Madison and then they hit Ice coming out of the Motel in the Lou and take a Shootout Loss. That is cause for concern as they blew a 5-3 lead and the Hawks hardly ever do that giving up two late goals in the 3rd period to tie the game at 5-5.

A game of back and forth as the Hawks score three goals in the 1st behind Sharp, Shaw, and Kane. the Blues sprinkle in a goal to make it 3-1 after one. The Blues then get two goals before the halfway point in the 2nd period to make it 3-3 as the Hawks come right back late with a Brandon Saad Strike to make it 4-3. Heading into the 3rd period the Hawks get a gaol from Brent Seabrook to make it 5-3 as the game looked all but over. The Blues then hit the nets twice within a minute and a half of each other to tie the score as Blues Nation went nuts. Hawks then lose in a shootout and you take your lumps.

Blackhawks Net Minder Antti Raanta stooped 20 of 25 as the Blues Net Minders both got touched up in Brain Elliott (17-19 Winner in Shootout) and Jaroslav Halak (10-13) as he gets pulled after the first period. The Hawks just get caught late and it happens but the blues might have some Kryptonite or something similar as they have played the Hawks better than anyone in the 2013-14 season.

Hawks fall to 27-7-7 and 61 pts tied for the Ice Games best with the Mighty Ducks. The Blues move to 25-7-5 and 55 pts as they try to make their move on the Hawks. Hawks need to get some distance and force the Blues to a High Note elsewhere in Winning Time and not in the Madhouse.
