The Panthers and Saints knew what was on the line and with Mother Nature pouring a bucket on the "Big Bank Branch" Bank of America Field it came down to who was going to make the Play to win the game.

That play came with 23 seconds left QB Cam threw a 14 yard TD pass to former G-Men WR Domenik Hixon to give the Panthers a 17-13 "W" and give the Panthers a Playoff Berth but not the NFC South Title just yet. They must close out the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in NFL Week 17 and they will have their Title and more importantly a Bye 1st round and that #2 Seed.

Brees led a crucial drive in the 4th going 97 yards in 11 plays on that Panthers "D" capped by a TE Jimmy Graham score to make it 13-10 Saints. Brees was 30/44 for 281 Yards and TD (Graham) but two INTs. Former Heisman Winner from 'Bama RB Mark Ingram had 81 yards rushing on just 13 carries but it came down to Cam and the Panthers Offense as they drove 65 yards in just 5 plays for the win.

Saints if the Cardinals lose vs Seahawks hold the #6 slot which means they will be playing out of the Motel in the "Fight for George"...and No Lid on Top means trouble for NOLA.

Note: Panthers did lose WR Steve Smith to some sort of Leg Injury...stay tuned.
