A little afternoon tilt before everyone gets to their preferred destination for the New Year as the Atlanta Hawks (3rd Place in the Eastern Conference) go into the Garden and beat the Celts 92-91 behind a huge day from Hawks Prized 2013 Free Agent Pick Up Paul Milsap.

"SAP" had a game-high 34 points and fifteen boards as the Hawks move to 18-14. Hawks PG Jeff Teague added 16 points while Kyle Korver chipped in with 14 including a Money Ball as they were the only three Hawks in double figures. A poor-shooting night the Hawks won by going 21 of 25 from the Line as they shot a horrid 5 for 29 from the "Land of Plenty".

The C's had two huge opportunities in the end as Celts Combo Guard Jordan Crawford missed both opportunities. The C's Starter did nothing as they combined to score just 35 of the Celts 91 points on the day. C's Rook Big Kelly Olynyk of the "Olynyk Clinic" Fame led with 21 points as C's PF K-Humps grabbed ten boards to go along with 18 points. The C's inability to knock down the Money Ball (5-20) cost them in this one as they shot over 94% from the line.

The Hawks move to 18-14 2nd in the Southeast 3rd in the east overall. The Celts fall to 13-18 but 2nd in the Atlantic behind the Dinosaurs of Toronto.
