The Texas Rangers lost their AL West lead earlier in the week but as early as it is was trying to avoid a three game sweep north of the border from the 'Jays. After Rangers Starting Pitcher Justin Grimm gave up a crooked four in the bottom half of the 3rd inning the rangers battled. Eventually they got to 'Jays Starter Josh Johnson and some three solo shots later and six ruin son the board the rangers hold onto a 6-4 "W". They now are in a tie with Oakland Athletics in the AL West for first as the A's are down to their last bullets at the hand of the Pale Hose down 4-2. The big blow for the 'Jays was first baseman's Adam Lind's Three-Run Shot in the bottom half of the 3rd for the 'Jays. The disappointing start for the Blue Jays continues as they are nine games out of first in the AL East and in last place with four teams within two games of first.

The Washington Nationals have had enough of the injury bug as they split two with the Twinkies of Minnesota as Game one on Friday was suspended due to in climate weather. They will play game two tonight as a double-header but the win puts them on pace with the 2nd place Phils in the NL East. Nats RHP Ryan Zimmerman has more than picked up the pieces for a struggling Gio Gonzalez and and injury-riddled Stephen Strasburg moving to 9-3. He dominated the Twins allowing only two hits and no Ducks crossing the dish while striking out eight twins hitters. Nats Shortstop Ian Desmond goes 3 for 4 with two ribbies and two runs scored. Twins are 4th in the AL Central ahead of Chicago but trailing the Royals, Indians and Central leading Tigers.

The Brew Crew needed to get back on the winning track and they get not one, not to, but get all three from the then 2nd place in the NL East Phightin' Phils. 2013 FA Pick Up Kyle Lohse from the Redbirds has struggled coming in at 1-6 goes eight strong allowing one run on four hits while striking out six. Brew Crew's CF Carlos Gomez continues his excellent 2013 campaign by going 2 for 4 with a Two-Run Bomb. The Phils Starter Jonathan Pettibone gets roughed up through 5 1/3 allowing six runs on four hits. The Brew Crew with the three game sweep are still in last place in the NL Central with the Phils holding onto the #2 slot in the NL East.
