The Oakland Athletics were destined to get a sweep of the New York Yankees and it could've taken them nine innings or 18 innings and it was the ladder. A's first baseman Nate Freiman gets a game-winning single off none other than Mo Rivera to cap off the 18-inning standoff. Both teams had excellent starting pitching as the Yanks Kuroda went eight innings allowing two runs on two hits. His counterpart from the A's Jarrod Parker also went eight strong innings allowing two run son five hits as the Pens then battled for some ten innings before the Athletics prevailed. Yanks Star Second Baseman Robbie Cano took Parker deep in the top half of the first for a two-run bomb to start things off. The A's then quickly tied the game up 2-2 in the bottom half of the 3rd putting two up on the Yanks to tie the game. The A's have reeled off eleven straight wins ion the Black Hole and move over Raider Nation its all about them Swingin' A's!

The Giants avoid a sweep at the hands of the New Buccos as Gigantes Ace RHP Matt Cain goes Fall Classic on the Pirates at PNC. The Giants win 10-0 as they pound out 17 hits and surprising enough Pence was the only a bomb for the Giants a three-run shot. The Giants were up 4-0 and then put up a crooked five run 6th inning to put the Buccos away. Cain went 6 2/3 allowing no runs on two hits as he struck out three and gave no Pirates a free pass. Blanco, Posey, and Pence had multiple Ribbies for the Gints. The Pirates fall to 39-27 and still are 3rd in the Central. The Giants move to 34-31 and that's good for the 32 slot in the West.
