The RUN STOPPERS......the BEEF in the middle that creates all sorts of problems for an Opposing Offense. They are also very important for FREEING UP Linebackers so they can run free to the BALL.

Then there is the 3-Technique, which is a DT in between the B GAP (Guard and TACKLE) but shifted more towards the GUARD...it's a 3-Technique. The 5-Technique is more suited for Defensive Ends as the BLUEDUDE will get into that WEDNESDAY.

Let's meet the DICTATORS of the Defensive Units of the NFL.....the 2011 Top 10 Defensive Tackles:

1. Haloti NGATA AUTZEN Stadium EUGENE OR B-MORE: Who else would you put here. The most agile of any of the Defensive Tackles, stronger than a NILE RIVER HIPPO, and a nice Right Hook......ask BIG BEN. NGATA is the main reason LIL RAY RAY #52 has been looking really young the past few seasons. The BEST DT in the BIZ......and he will ANCHOR that RAVENS D long after REED and LEWIS Depart.

2. Ndamukong SUH LINCOLN MEMORIAL Stadium NEB the GARAGE Motor CITY: A rookie season that saw nothing but what was expected form SUH from the start......DOMINANCE. Cat Quick at the point of attack and the ability to chase down Runners and even some Receivers running short routes. A Mean Son of a GUN also that fits what the MOTOR CITY's Football Team should be.......NASTY. Now joined by Auburn Rookie DT Nick FAIRLEY.......UH OH SPAGHETTI O.....the NEW LOOK LIONS....watch out

3. Vince "HOT PLATE" WILFORK the U Coral Gables FOXBORO MASS: The BIG Fella is PROBLEM because you can't move that much ASS in the snap of the BALL. Now he joins forces with DT Albert "MAD" HAYNESWORTH to maybe become the best DUO up front in the NFL. For a gut his size he moves exceptionally well and pretty nimble feet i might add.

4. BJ RAJI BC Golden Eagles LOMBARDI DRIVE: Has arrived on the scene and just got fitted with a Super Bowl Ring. RAJI is WILFORK but a little SMALLER and FASTER. Excellent Run-Stopper and instincts to snuff out any TRICKERATION by the O. He is the reason the Inside Linebackers of the PACK are all over the FIELD. RAJI creates Havoc and has really good hands.......ask the BEARS about RAJI's MITTS.

5. Darnell DOCKETT TALLAHASSEE Chop FSU the DESERT AZ: Has been dominant ever since leading the CARDS Defense on that magical run to the Super Bowl where they lost to the STEELERS in TAMPA. Very quick and athletic and maybe the best DT as far as SIDELINE to SIDELINE. He and SS Adrian WILSON hold that CARDS D UNIT together.

6. Casey "SUB ZERO" HAMPTON UT AUSTIN STEEL CURTAIN: A Nose TACKLE is what he plays, And when you play a 3-4 Defense like the STEELERS....the LINE Sacrifices a lot so that the LINEBACKERS are doing most of the work 2nd Level and in. HAMPTON is a SPACE EATER and a DOUBLE TEAM waiting to happen. He also frees up STEELERS Veteran DEs Keisel and SMITH to do DAMAGE. Doesn't like PRACTICE or Training CAMP.......LOVES the Training Table and the Plethora of CHOICES.....love you HAMPS

7. Kevin WILLIAMS STILLWATER COWBOYS PURPLE PEOPLE: He and Partner n Crime Pat WILLIAMS had a SO-SO Season last year. Look for Big KEV to be back to his dominant ways under New Head Coach Leslie Frazier and Sidekick Mike Singletary......if anything the FIRE will be LIT 24/7/365 with that guy on the sideline...... Williams should be a whole lot fresher as well having had no Mandatory Off-Season Training.

8. Jay RATLIFF TIGERS on the PLAINS the 'BOYS: Ok J-RAT has been doing his part for a while and the COWBOYS have taken notice. The 'BOYS Defense is perennially in the TOP 10 overall and their run Defense is pretty stout due to RATLIFF. Now the COWBOYS also are wondering when the underachieving Marcus SPEARS of GEAUX BAYOU BENGALS will get his act together. The 'BOYS recently gave SPEARS a Nice Deal to stay in BIG D to prove himself......and RATLIFF hopes his partner gets up.

9. Kyle WILLIAMS BATON ROUGE LA Circle the WAGONS Bison CITY: Underrated as heck.....motor going all the time....just when is the rest of the BILLS unit going to measure up to this GUY. A force in the middle as well as in the PASS RUSH (5.5 Sacks 2010) is a lot for a Defensive Tackle. The BILLS need to start building around young WILLIAMS in a hurry..

10. Richard SEYMOUR Between the HEDGES SANFORD STADIUM the BLACK HOLE: I remember like yesterday when SEYMOUR (PATRIOTS 1st Rounder) was in the SEC playing for the DAWGS with Marcus STROUD (JAGS 1st Rounder) and Charles GRANT (Saints 1st Rounder) on the Front with him. Now fast forward even past his PATRIOT DAYS......Seymour is still a force to be reckon with and to be accounted for. As evidence the RAIDERS Defense wasn't that bad last year and I think finished in the Top 15 NFL Defenses overall.......largely due to their new leader #92.

Best of the REST........
