Every good QB has a FRIEND and that friend is usually a Right or Left TACKLE, a Dominant CENTER, and/or a Running BACK that can make even those BIG ISSUES o Offense seem minute. Some of the Greatest RUNNING BACKS of ALL-TIME always seem to have that QUALITY that separates them from their peers.

The 2011 TOP 10 NFL Running Backs List consist of a Bruising Back, A couple fleet footed backs, a couple of BACKS that you can't see behind mammoth Offensive Lines, and BACKS that are on the cusp of taking it to the TOP to join that Tier that currently has only two back on it.

Meet and Greet......the BLUEDUDE'S Top 10 Ball Carriers of 2011:

1. Adrian PETERSON aka ALL DAY aka A P....VIKES: the prototype........the GLADIATOR.....the BACK who seeks out Collisions....the BACK if he gets to the 2nd Level.....PAYDIRT because NO SAFETY or CORNER doesn't want to Hit Him.......the PURPLE PEOPLES' Adrian PETERSON.
The Most violent back and fastest back since the likes of Eddie GEORGE, Jerome BETTIS.....VIOLENT like those 2 but FAST like a Fast WIDE OUT. A.P. is what all backs desire to be and he is a WEIGHTLIFTING FREAK......you have to deny him access to thew Weight Room at times because if you don't.....CAPTAIN of AMERICA will come out.

The only negative on ALL DAY is he puts the BALL on the ground way too much for a guy who gets as many carries as ALL DAY. And he is still a work in progress CATCHING the PIGSKIN out of the backfield. But there is NO DOUBT he is #1.....and it isn't close.

2. Chris JOHNSON aka CJ28......TITANS: The former East Carolina PIRATE that hails from O-TOWN in Florida is a STREAK of LIGHTNING to say the least. The thing with CHRIS is you must follow the RULES of using BOUNDARIES.....like the SIDELINE is a DEFENDERS Friend. Because if you don't he is GONE. Arguably the FASTEST BACK playing SUNDAYS.....now if the TITANS can just get everything else on OFFENSE on the SAME PAGE.

The 2nd fast 40 Time ever at the NFL Combine.....he almost beat PRIME TIMES sub 4.2......FOLKS that i picking them up and they never touch back down.........Faster than a SPEEDING BULLET fast......you get me. Reminds me BO JACKSON without the BODY....all SPEED.......and to all NFL Defenders watching TAPE on CJ28.....he is faster in PERSON....the EYE in the SKY LIED on #28

3. Jamal CHARLES aka Lake CHARLES FINEST....ARROWHEAD BOYZ: Now you are thinking MAN...the BLUEDUDE doesn't know what in a HILL of BEANS who the BEST NFL BACKS ARE.......WRONG......you need to stop watching your team and being MR. ALL THE GUYS on my TEAM ARE THE BEST......and watching PLAYERS.

The LAKE CHARLES LA Native and HOOKEM' HORNS is a BEAST. Some thought when he came out he couldn't be a every down back.....and BOY did they miss on this GUY. Then you put that SPEED and ELUSIVENESS in a Charlie WEIS Scheme ( A good NFL OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR.......TERRIBLE ANYWHERE else see ND IRISH Football under WEIS). He is a match-up Nightmare for most opposing defenses because the ability to run between the tackles, catch the ROCK out of the backfield, and then go sideline to sideline, and if he gets in the open......GAMEBREAKER. You need to start reading up on this kid...a TRACK STAR in HS in LOUISIANA and UT AUSTIN............Didn't KNOW THAT....BLUEDUDE SPORTSTALK knew that......

4. Maurice JONES-DREW aka POCKET HERCULES aka MR. PRADA MONKEY SUIT.....JAGS: A Earl Campbell and Jerome BETTIS Type clone....except my favorite size......SMURF SIZE......the complete back and if he was a few inches taller he might challenge ALL DAY for that #1 STUNNA. Built like a NISSAN TITAN TRUCK Super Cab......no one can run through, around, on top of, an a make you miss like JONES-DREW.

The former PAC-10 Standout from WESTWOOD........is a GAMER as well. And on top of all the PHYSICAL Attributes.....MO is STUDENT of the GAME. If the JAGS can ever figure out what they want to do OFFENSIVELY.....POCKET HERCULES SMURF.......might ascend to the TOP on of these years.

5. Rashard MENDENHALL aka SHARD Hey it's what COACH T calls him....BLACK&YELLOW: after a 2009 SEASON that basically put him on the map......the 2010 Season he carried the STEELERS the 1st 4 games that BIG BEN Was suspended and the young man has arrived as one of the ELITE Ball Carriers in the BIZ.

A punishing back that is deceptively ELUSIVE in the OPEN FIELD and a PUNISHER between tackles. And for his size has breakaway speed to KILL. The STEELERS drafted SHARD when he was a 20 year old Junior for those who want the inside. So the sky is the LIMIT as the STEELERS have everything in place offensively to be a force for years to come.

6. Ray RICE aka DOUBLE R........the BIG CRAB CAKE Boyz: The RAVENS have had the luxury of having Joe FLACCO come along at a NICE PACE because of #27 lined up behind him. The Perfect back to offset the Powerful front line of the RAVENS. An elusive back with great vision and awareness. Then he is a MONSTER and JOE FLACCO'S Key option out of the backfield in 3rd and whatever......don't have to watch the FILM watch where #27 is going.

In order for RICE to keep improving and taking strides forward......the RAVENS and QB Flacco should do the same. A poor man's BARRY SANDERS because of the SIZE and POWER.

7. Steven JACKSON aka JACK.......the LOU: Numbers could be misleading considering that JACK has really never had a QB that could take pressure off of him and all those hits have taken it's toll. Now Sam BRADFORD is over there they help each other out and the field should open up a little.

A powerful BACK built in the Eddie GEORGE and Brandon JACOBS mold and way more versatile than both of them. Look for JACK to have one of his best seasons with the NEW AIR ATTACK of the RAMS QB Bradford.

8. Michael TURNER aka Turner BURNER.....DIRTY BIRDS: The man has RHINO LEGS.......I am not kidding you. CHICKS used to have legs like that in the SPOT. A powerful Runner that is no FRILLS......you know what HOLE I am COMING IN....STOP IT if you can. FALCONS QB Matty ICE has to love a bruiser like that which makes their offense POTENT.

Now the DIRTY BIRDS might have a 2k11 Version of THUNDER and Possible Thunderstorms with the addition of OREGON STATE RB Jacquizz RODGERS....all 5'6" of him.....Lookout. A steal in the 3rd round...ask PAC 10 Teams what he did to them.....Forget being SMALL.......see if you can HIT ME........NOT.

9. ARIAN FOSTER aka What in ROCKY TOP were you wearing at the 2k11 ESPY's.......TEXANS: Out of nowhere to put former MOUNTAINEER RB Steve SLATON out of Business. FOSTER is a FAST BACK with a variety of moves and a PHYSICAL back in his own right. ASK the COLTS Defense WEEK 1 of 2010......they thought they were playing ALL DAY the way FOSTER was running.

Now if the TEXANS can just play 16 games instead of circling their homecoming game vs the TEXANS.....they might get to POST SEASON. And TRUST ME......if they get to postseason ARIAN FOSTER will be a HUGE Part of that equation.

10. Frank GORE aka GORE ME.....GOLD RUSH: The only thing bad on MR. GORE is this........IF HE CAN STAY HEALTHY HE IS ONE OF THE BEST RB's in the LEAGUE and if he can't his time in the BAY will be OVER.

GORE is a SHORT COMPACT straight ahead runner that is nifty in the OPEN FIELD. The NINERS need to start using him more out of the backfield catching the ROCK to extend his Tim on the FIELD to playing 3rd downs. It will be interesting to see how he fits into New HEAD MAN Jim HARBAUGH'S Offense in the BAY.
