The Chicago Blackhawks turn it on late as they beat the visiting Vancouver Canucks 3-1 at the Madhouse. The Hawks came in right in the middle of the Central Race and they still have a chance at getting another Central Title.

It was Hawks Rook Teuvo Teravainen (4th) that got things started in the first with his 4th goal of the season making it 1-0 Hawks. The Canucks tied it up right before the 1st frame ended on a Derek Dorsett shot past the Hawks Corey Crawford making it 1-1 at the end of one.

With no scores in the 2nd the Hawks Captain Serious dba Jonathan Toews (26th) scores almost midway through the 3rd on a redirect for a 2-1 Hawks lead. Just two and a half minutes later Markus Kruger (7) goes in unmolested with a nice move around the Canucks Eddie Lack for a 3-1 Hawks lead. The Indian Head goes on to beat Vancouver 3-1 out shooting Vancouver 38-36.

Hawks move to 47-24-6 with 100 points as they trail the Blue Notes by a point (101 pts) and the Predators by three points (103 pts). Chicago finishes up with two games versus the Blue Notes, one with Minnesota, Buffalo, and Colorado...stay tuned!
