Yes we are finally here as the last time the Hawks and Hawks Nation had their seat belts on hoping and wishing for another parade route and Grant Park Chicago Celebration. It was the Monarchs of L.A. Hockey shocked the Madhouse with a shot off Hawks Defenseman Nick Leddy past Blue-Paint tenant Corey Crawford for the game and series winner.

Now we fast forward through another 82-game trek and a Chicago mild winner past Easter Sunday to this match up. The Hawks get the "Preds" of Opryland U.S.A. Hockey in Nashville, Tennessee for Games 1 and 2 with Hawks Nation scrambling for tickets.

The good news is the Indian Head was 3-1 vs the "Preds" in 2014-15. The bad news is we do not have home ice and sometimes for the home team that's the gift an the curse. Secondly the "Bison City Mullet" #88 Patrick Kane is back and the "Preds" have to be thinking one thing...finish him! "Preds" be careful if that's your game plan you will get blown off the ice as you better skate and follow your game plan!

The Hawks need to come out blazing and do what they do as that finish to 2015 is not how you want to enter "Winning Time" with Lord Stanley above watching with the Ice Games Gods. The Hawks  must neutralize RW James Neal, C Mike Ribeiro, RW Craig Smith, and LW Filip Forsberg.

Offensively the "Preds" do their damage by the punishing Shea Weber and his line mate Roman Josi. Both Josi and Center Mike Fisher have been nursing injuries but should be good to go. The first ten minutes of this one will be the tale tell sign as the Indian Head must match the fast and energy-driven start from the "Preds" or it will be a long game 1.
