The Chicago Blackhawks took a big step in getting back to their old selves on Wednesday night in Nashville, Tennessee. After getting hit right in the chop in frame one as the home team the Predators went up 3-0 on the Blackhawks and Hawks #1 blue-paint tenant Corey Crawford the Hawks found that light switch.

Behind goals by "Hammer" Niklas Hjalmarsson and two power play goals by "Sharpie" Patrick Sharp and "Captain Serious" Jonathan Toews the Hawks got right back in the saddle tying the game up at 3-3. Preds Nation was in utter disbelief as though it was the "Music City Miracle" on Ice but for the visiting team.

The Hawks and Coach Joel Quenneville took "Craw-Dad" Corey Crawford out after frame one as the "Canvas" the Hawks net minder and Defense was painting was not going up for auction. "Craw-Dad' stopped just 9 of 12 SOG and the Hawks went with Westmont, Illinois ( A Chicago, Illinois West Suburb) native Scott Darling in the blue-paint and he went Lock down 24-7-365 Ice Skate Program.

Darling went on to stop some 42 SOG and 41 of them were of the spectacular variety. The Indian Head was out shot in Regulation (31-27) and in the two extra frames (23-15) as it was a Duncan Keith dba D.K. of Sparty's slapper with Captain Serious playing blocker in and around the paint that beat "Preds" net minder Pekka Rinne for the game-winner in the second overtime frame.

Rinne was fabulous in frame one and in the third along with the fist overtime and the second on until D.K. scored the game-winner for the Indian Head. He stopped 38 of 42 SOG and he was on his game as well once he got past frame two.

Now the Hawks up 1-0 will get game 2 in the Music City on T.G.I.F. April 17th at 9:30pm ET...
