The Dallas Mavericks if they are going to lose the series will not be doing it under the watchful eyes of Team M.F.F.L. dba "We are One"! That's right the Mavs stave off elimination and a four-game sweep at the hands of the Houston Rockets by playing inspired basketball well Carlisle Hoops in a nutshell!

In order for the Mavs to win game 4 they needed someone other than @Swish41 and "Mississippi Lightning" Monta Ellis to get it done and put their hands into the fire. Enter game 4 Starters JJ Barea and Al Faraq Aminu as they go in on the Rockets and maybe the Mavs have 9 lives.

Barea goes for 17 points and thirteen helpers with Aminu adding 16 points and a dozen boards. Yes Monta Ellis led all scorers with 31 points (13-21 FG) bit it was those two along with Monta as Dirk and Tyson Chandler combined for 26 points and twenty-two boards.

The Rockets lost the game right before the half when it was 48-48 with under five minutes before the break. Dallas went on a 13-5 to end the frame leading 61-53. That end of the frame burst led to a 26-4 run to start the 3rd and a 81:57 lead under the five minute mark in the 3rd. Red Nation made some runs but it was too late as the Mavs win 121-109 as the series heads back to H-Town 3-1 Rockets.

James Harden led the Rockets with 24 points and five helpers but that bench led by Josh Smith (23 pts 6 rebs) and Corey Brewer (22 pts 5 rebs) was huge. Mavs won the game on the glass (+14 and +9 Offensive boards) as they shoot nearly 55% from the field. Rockets did shoot 26-40 from the stripe and that was 19 more than the Mavs.

Game 5 on Tuesday April 28th at the Toyota Center...
