It was a pitching duel with no end as both in the White Sox RHP Jeff Samardzija and the Detroit Tigers LHP David Price were at the Black Jack Table dealing. Hitters from both teams had their difficulties handling both of these "Monsters on the Bump" at Bluedude Sportstalk like most hitters.

The Chi-Sox got to Price in the top half of the 2nd as Avisail Garcia took Price deep for a solo blast making it 1-0. Price would settle down and go eight giving up that run on four hits as he struck out nine and walked just two.

The Tigers would get that run back in the bottom half of the 4th on a Yoenis Cespedes solo Tater tying the game up at 1-1. Samardzija's only mistake all game long as he also went eight giving up a run on eight hits as he struck out seven giving up no free passes.

Zach Duke then relieved Samardzija after the Sox didn't score in their half of the 9th as he promptly gave up a two-bagger to Nick Castellanos a sac-bunt to Alex Avila, and the game-winning single to Jose Iglesias for the win. Duke takes the loss as Tigers reliever Joakim Soria gets the win.

Tigers move to 9-1 as the Sox fall to 3-6 as it will be the Pale Hose Chris Sale vs the Tigers Anibal Sanchez on Saturday...
