The Atlanta Braves look as though they may be back in the saddle to reel off a few as they get a amazing performance from right-hander Julio Teheran to blank the Pirates 5-0 and finish off the sweep. Teheran allowed only one hit as he struck out eleven Buccos on his way to a 4-2 record. Pirates pinch-hitter Brandon Inge broke up the No-No in the eighth inning. With the Win the Braves move to 37-22 and the loss puts the Buccos behind the Red Legs and in 3rd place in the NL Central. The Braves are starting to get locked in at the Dish and they are already fifteen games over the .500 mark....lookout NL East!

The Phightin' Phils get another bomb from OF Dominic Brown and the Phils take care of the Marlins by a score of 6-1. The Phils finish off the sweep and give some surprising run support to Ace Left-hander Cole Hamels. Hamels hasn't won a game since April 28th and he moves to a disappointing 2-9 with the "W". Brown continues his torrid pace for the Phils hitting .284, bombs (18), ribbies (44), and runs scored at 30. Now the Phils reach the .500 mark as they lock in on catching the injury-riddled second place in the NL East Nats.

The Oakland Athletics are right where they need to be as they get the rubber game vs the Brew Crew in Beer Town USA by the score of 6-1.  A's Vet RHP Bartolo Colon goes seven strong innings allowing just one duck off the pond while yielding eight hits. Colon moves to 7-2 and his counterpart the Brew Crew's Ace RHP Yovani Gallardo falls to a disappointing 4-6 with a 5.25 ERA. The A's as we go to press move to 35-25 just a game and a half off of the Rangers in the AL West. The Brewers slip to 22-35 and they are in the NL Central Basement.
