The San Antonio Spurs surprised everyone but themselves as they started in 3rd and 4th gear on the GSW Warriors and stayed in gear the whole night for a 109-91 beat down of the Warriors. Everyone got in the mix for the Spurs but the H.E.B. Fun Zone.
The Spurs jumped out to a 37 points frame in the 1st set the tone for the night as the young Warriors had to be thinking they can't run with us and oh yes they can. Spurs Point God TP9 went off for 25 points and ten helpers as he has set the tone in the last few ball games and all that jazz is Spurs Lead Man Pops in his ear telling him we go as you go...now take the wheel. Kawhi Leonard added 17 points and seven boards with Manu chipping in with 10 points, five boards, and five helpers. The Spurs have somehow taken away the Money Ball for GSW and if they don't get back to the Land of Plenty for Game 6 its ovaaaa!
GSW was led by Rook Harrison Barnes who continues to impress with 25 points and seven boards. Jarrett Jack came off the Bench to get 20 points but it was the numbers of Young Steph and Klay-T that was shocking. Steph had 9 points including a 4 for 14 from the field and 1 for 7 from the Arc. Klay-T went 2 for 8 with 4 points and that is not trying to get to the O-Zone Layer but getting to your Mama's Basement to hide out. The Spurs had the Warriors playing Spurs Basketball and it took the Spurs two games in to start to dictate how the games will be played at the Spurs "Pace".
Game Six is Thursday night May 16 in Planet Oracle and GSW will be ready but so will the 4-Time Champion Spurs.
