This is one of those games Sens Great Daniel Alfreddson will characterize now and in the future as one of the greatest Hockey Games he ever played in. It's not just because he hit the goal to send it into extras it was how everything played out for the Senators and what was at stake.

The Pens were holding onto a Goal late in the 2nd frame by Center Tyler Kennedy as they went into the 3rd frame. The Pens D and net minding has been sensational of late and Pens Net Minder Tomas Vokoun (47/49 SVs) didn't disappoint tonight either. The Sens tried everything and the Pens looked as though they would take a commanding 3-0 lead then....

Sens Great and unquestioned leader Daniel Alfreddson struck at the 19:31 mark in the 3rd frame...19:31 to push the game into Extras and the Pens to their credit didn't fold in O.T. but they didn't win in O.T.. Alfreddson scored on a deflection as the Pens Defensemen couldn't keep him from getting in front of Vokoun on the shot.

The 1st Extras Period had no scoring but a few scares for both teams. The 2nd overtime with just under 13 minutes to go in the frame Sens Left Winger Colin Greenig slid a backhand off a pass from Benoit and Condra to send the Ottawa Faithful into the Night with Pandemonium and a huge "W" for the ages. As for the Pens they must regroup and get ready for Tuesday Nights Tilt as its nit a series until the visiting teams win on your ice. Both Teams have held serve at home.  Sens Net Minder Craig Anderson stopped some 49 of 50 shots from that dynamic Pens Offense and he was the M.V.P. with Alfreddson Tonight.

Game 4 will be Wednesday May 22 at 730pm ET...in Ottawa
