The Men on the Bump taking care of business as you can't score if you don't reach base. The top Strikeout Leaders in the American League as we approach Memorial Day 2K13. Some of the Usual Suspects are in the Top 10 as the #1 Duo from the Bump in Strikeouts is at it again. Strikeouts do not directly correlate to W's but it helps.

The Top 10 on the Junior Circuit in K's from the Bump:

Note: Win/Loss Record in Parenthesis

1. Y. Darvish #Rangers 91 (7-2)

2. M. Scherzer #Tigers 75 (6-0)

3. C. Buchholz #Carmines 73 (7-0)
    (pictured right)

4. Kid Felix #Ms 72 (5-3)

5. J. Masterson #Tribe 71 (7-2)

6. J. Shields #Royals 69 (2-5)

6. J. Verlander #Tigers 69 (5-4)

8. A. Sanchez #Tigers 68 (4-4)

9. R. Dempster #Carmines 63 (2-4)

10. H. Iwakuma #Ms 61 (5-1)

10. C. Sale #PaleHose 61 (5-2)

Darvish has been magnificent the first two months of the season and he might have the best stuff in the Show.

Scherzer along with Verlander and Sanchez are the best Duo (Scherzer.Verlander) and Trio (All Three Combined) in the Show striking guys out. Both Verlander and Scherzer set a MLB Record for Strikeouts by a Duo in 2K12 beating the Early 2K's Duo of Cubbies Kerry Wood and Mark Prior.

Buchholz is the Ace of a solid Red Sox Staff along with Lewster and Dempster (who is #9 on this list) as the Red Sox are right in the middle of the AL East hunt in 2nd just behind the Bombers. Buchholz picked up win #7 last night on the South side of Chi City beating the Chi Sox as the Carmines avoid the sweep.

Kid Felix got the Big Bucks a month or so ago and he is also joined by Iwakuma as they mow down the opposition. The M's just need some Offense and they might start to climb back into the AL West Elite.

Masterson is the leader behind the resurgence of the Tribe and their blazin' May Record not to mention they have one of the best Skips in the Show in Ex-Bo Sox Skip Terry Francona.

Shields was traded last season by the Rays and is the Leader of the Royals Staff with number one stuff but not a number one record. His Run Support is an Issue and that's a big reason why he is only 2-5 as we go to press.

Sale was named day one starter and he is as Solid as they come and not cause for concern but he was scratched yesterday as the Pale Hose were trying to sweep the Carmines due to tendinitis in his Pitching Shoulder. Sale is the new Ex-Cardinals Ace LHP John Tudor with Gas or even former Pale Hose Farm Hand LHP Wilson Alvarez.
