It happens and unfortunately there will be more as it is the nature of the business of sports...Injuries. The San Francisco 49ers have reported as well as numerous Media Outlets former Dallas, Texas Carter HS All-State Basketball and Football Player Michael "CRAB" Crabtree has had successful surgery to repair what has been characterized as a complete Tear of his Achilles Tendon. Crab reportedly hurt in in the Niners OTA Session on Tuesday.

The Forty-Niners now look like Geniuses getting Anquan Boldin from the Purple Browns and 4th round 2013 Pick WR Quinton Patton out of La Tech. This Sunday Heads is why you load up on Quality Depth and the 49ers 2013 Depth Chart looks like a First Four Round NFL Draft Board. Hypothetically speaking this is what the 9ers Depth Chart looks now in OTA's:

#1 WR
Crab
A.J. Jenkins (2012 Pick)
Q. Patton (2013 Pick)
C. Hall  (w/Eagles 2011/2012)

#2 WR
Boldin
"Super Mario" Manningham (2012 Knee Injury)
K. Williams (2012 Knee Injury)
R. Lockett (2011/2012 Seahawks)

Just looking at the Depth the 49ers will see is Two WRs can put themselves at the #2 and #3 Slots as Boldin now i the #1 WR. Both Manningham and Williams will be coming off Injuries and they will be closely watched to see if they can get on the field and be productive in Week 1. It will be extremely tough for Crab to get back on the Field in 2013 and for the Playoffs as an Achilles is a 9-12 month ordeal and we are almost in June.

Both Crab and Kap were coming into their own as one of the top WR/QB Duos on Sunday....Unstoppable they might have been at least in 2013!
