The Golden State Warriors didn't go away and the San Antonio Spurs didn't flinch and the Four-Time Champs led by Pops, Dunc, Manu and Point God TP9 move onto the West Finals with a 94-82 "W".

A couple of in and out Money Balls and a call here or there we might have been going back to San Antonio for a Game 7 but the Spurs show toughness, resiliency, and a huge Valentine to advance. All Five Spurs Starters were in double-figures led by future Hall of Famer Tim Duncan's 19 points and six boards. He was followed by 16 points and a ten rebounds effort from 2nd year Spurs small forward and next-in-line Kawhi Leonard as Splitter added 14, TP9 13, and D.G. of AT&T 11 points. If you would have told me TP9 was going to net 13 points but shoot only 3 of 16 from the floor I would have said Game 7 here we come. TP9's Points were of the "Don't tell me how many...when did you get'em old adage. Two big-time Money balls late in the final frame pushed the Spurs over the top in this one.

The Warriors played well enough to win but those 50/50 Oranges, 50/50 plays, and more than a few calls didn't go their way. Young Steph led GSW with 22 points while Jack added 15 points , and Landry 11. The Spurs again took away the GSW Money Ball as they only shot 4 of 16 from then Arc GSW did. The Spurs simply ran a double team at every screen and roll and tried to push the screen to one side or another keeping GSW Ball-Handlers out of the middle of the floor. Its Basketball 400 in the Logo and all that comes with Spurs Lead Man Pops having seen just about everything on the hardwood.

Now the Spurs advance to the West Finals as they get the hungry Memphis Grizzlies who looked primed and ready to get to their 1st ever NBA Finals. GSW ends an incredible run and they are only going to get better in that Pacific Division now ran by the L.A. Clippers...Imagine That!
