The Pittsburgh Penguins are loaded and now they are out of that dreaded 1st round lookout. They made real quick work of the Ottawa Senators tonight 4-1 by outstanding play by Center Evgeni Malkin and Net Minder Tomas Vokoun.

The Pens struck twice in the 1st frame giving them a 2-1 lead. Then they score one each in Periods two and three as the Senators put some 36 shots on goal but couldn't get anything off Pens Net Minder Vokoun. The Pens also get 2 points from Center Evgeni Malkin as he just adds to the plethora of talented Pens and the Sens might be outnumbered by talent alone in this series.

Sens Left Winger Colin Greening scored the only goal for the Sens in frame 1 as the Sens after that the Offense was inept to say the least. Pens now will face the Sens in Game Two on Friday as they will get consecutive nights off while the other series get underway. "Sid the Kid" Crosby had 4 shots ion goal but had no points in Game 1.

The Winner of this Series will play the Winner of the Bruins and Rangers Series that doesn't get started until Thursday.
