The Chicago Blackhawks had everything rolling in their favor as the Hawks and the Madhouse get news that the Jets beat the Blue Notes right about the time the Minnesota Wild broke open a scoreless affair.

The Hawks lose 2-1 to Minnesota as the Wild clinches a "Fight for Lord Stanley" Ticket and the Indian Head still with a slim chance of grabbing the Central Division gets the Blue Notes in the 'Lou near the "Gateway to the West" on Thursday night.

It was scoreless through 40 minutes as both goalies the Wild's Devan Dubnyk and the Blackhawks Corey Crawford faced 15 and 23 SOG respectively through two. The "D" in this one was May and June Hockey-esque as getting the puck up the middle of the ice in this one was a no-fly zone.

The Wild scored right in front of the midway point in the 3d behind a Mikael Granlund goal making it 1-0 Wild. Then four minutes later with plenty of hockey still left a nifty 2 on 1 for the Wild with Jason Zucker beating "Craw-Dad" for a 2-0 Wild lead. The Hawks had a few minor breakdowns handling th puck and it cost them.

Bryan Bickell just under the two minute mark notched his 14th goal of the season (4 of his goals in 2014-15 vs the Wild) making it 2-1 Wild as they just ran out of time. Minnesota moves to 45-27-8 with 98 points while the Indian Head stays put with 102 points.

The Blues stay at 105 points with Nashville losing 3-2 to the Avs late in the 3rd as we go to press...

Blackhawks vs Blue Notes Thursday April 9 in St. Louis maybe for the Central Title...
