The Pittsburgh Pirates jumped all over Detroit Tigers starter Anibal Sanchez for five runs over 6 1/3 frames as he allowed eight hits and struck out nine. Sanchez also had trouble keeping the Rawlings stitched one in PNC as three handballs he delivered were delivered in the PNC outfield seats.

The Tigers take their first loss of 2015 as the "Bombs over PNC" were powered by Josh Harrison, "El Toro" Pedro Alvarez, and Corey Hart. El Toro's and Hart's were two-run blasts with Hart's also being a pinch-hit bomb.

Buccos Starter and Ace Garrit Cole was on his A-Game going six strong allowing a run on three hits as he struck out eight and walked just two. That Tigers line up is one of the best in the Show and he went right through it. That Pirates Pen though did allow three runs in the 9th as projected Bucs Captain Save-A-Game Marl Melancon was lit up for three runs on four hits including a J.D. Martinez two-run shot. Melancon finally gets the Tigers out as Cole moves to 1-0 and Sanzhez 0-1.

Bucs trying to get back to that .500 mark sits at 3-4 with the Tigers falling to 6-1 erasing that goose egg they had in the "L" column...
