The Chicago Blackhawks needed to end a two-loss and one Shootout loss streak in their last three and noting like seeing the Florida Panthers when you need to get back doing the right things. The Hawks come out swinging and put the Panthers up 6-2 as they get a much-needed "W". There was a cost to the loss as Hawks Net Minder Corey Crawford took a Frozen One to the right pad and then went down in a heap at the 13:54 mark in the 1st frame. He was immediately helped off the ice by a Hawks Trainer and D Brent Seabrook as Hawks and Hawks Nation hold their collective breathe.
The Hawks get goals from Sharpie #10 and Brooks in the 1st frame. Then Marian Hossa and Michal Handzus hit the nets in the 2nd as the hawks led 4-2. Then the Hawks roll the credits on the Panthers as Shaw and Saad both send the "Madhouse on Madison" Horn off into the night. A solid night to what could spell "gloom and doom" for Hawks Nation.
Hawks Rook Net Minder Antti Raanta took over for "Craw-Dad" as he saved 29-31 shots. The Hawks will have to tighten up the "D" as it looks like the Hawks will roll with Raanta for the time being until Hawks GM Stan Bowman gets on the horn and works his magic like he always does. Hawks Nation is in Good Hands with Stan Bowman.
Hawks finally get win #21 on the season and moves to 21-6-5 with 47 points. The Panthers fall to 9-17-5 and just 23 points in the 2013-14 season.
