The celebration was short-lived as the Pacers knew even looking at the Five-Game Motel Trip that it would be tough sledding on a back to back Spurs/Thunder Saturday/Sunday Tilts. Well the Pacers were right but a split is better than an 0-fer as the Thunder hammer the Pacers 118-94 in OKC.
It was evident from the jump that the Pacers had no legs as the Thunder jumped out to a 57-37 lead at Intermission. The Recipe for the Regulators was of course @kdTREY5 with a game-high 36 pts, ten boards, and five helpers. His partner in crime Uncle Russ added 26 points, thirteen helpers, and seven boards while holding down both Pacers PG's in George Hill and C.J. Watson to just nine points. OKC back-up PG Reggie Jackson chipped in with 15 and Serge Ibaka 13 as the Thunder won going away shooting a robust plus %60 from the field.
The Pacers were paced by Paul George as he had 32 points with D-West adding 12 and "Area 55" 11 as the only Pacers in Double-Figures. Yes the Pacers end their 5-game Motel Swing 3-2 but the one that got away was the 106-102 loss in Rip City. The Pacers had their chances but couldn't cash in. The Pacers fall to 18-3 while the Regulators OKC move to 15-4 and have won all its games on its recent home stand.
