Well saying something about a black Cat, a Goat, and Bartman doesn't really make sense since the Cubbies are not playing in the Fall Classic. Having said that this is the Cubbies 2014 Season Auditions  and for some a possible invite to Cubbies Spring Training 2014.

Enough of all that but the Cubs played like a team trying to play "Spoiler" in the NL Central as they blank the Red Legs behind 2013 All-Star LHP Travis Wood. Wood went seven allowing six hits and no walks while striking out seven Red Leg Hitters. The Cubs Offense was supplied via the "Big Fly" x Two as Cubbies CF Ryan Sweeney and Hot Corner Luis Valbuena go Solo Bombs all off of Red Legs STarter Bronson Arroyo who got no run support.

Arroyo gave up those two bombs early in the 2nd and 3rd frames then settled down to go seven and allow seven hits and no walks and those two bombs. The Red Legs left 16 ducks on the pond and had four extra-base hits. With the loss the Red Legs fall behind the Buccos by one game and the NL Central leading Redbirds  by two games.
