The Tampa Bay Rays go Pop, Lock, and Drop it on the O's Playoff Hopes and get a crucial four-game sweep when "Clutch" was in the ball park. A 4-4 tie was broken up by "Boys in Blue" Castoff and Rays First Baseman James Loney as he goes down the Left Field Line for a game-winning Big Fly to give the Rays a 5-4 "W".

Both Starters went 4 1/3 innings as the O's Wei-Yin Chen out dueled Rays Starter Chris Archer as Chen gave up two runs to Archer's four runs. The O's Pen then blew up in the 7th as the Rays score two to tie to set up that bottom of the 9th game-winner from Loney.

The O's "Fight for October" Hopes went right out of the building but they lost something much m,ore on Monday.  O's Future and All-Star Hot Corner Manny "M2" Machado was legging out a ground ball to the right side and his left knee buckled as he came off the bag and he was carted off. That is really bad news for Machado and for the O's in 2014 as he will likely be pout for all of next season if there are any torn ligaments.

360 Degrees...that reminded the Bluedude of Ex-Rangers Rookie Phenom CF Rueben Mateo legging out a ground ball in 2000 when he hit the bag and he broke his femur in his right leg as he hit the bag. Rangers Heads that go back remember that all too well and Mateo as talented as the Puerto Rican Native was never came back from that injury. Hopefully Machado will comeback even stronger.

The Rays now move  a game ahead in the Wild Card in front of the idle Tribe as the #1 Team in the AL Wild Card. With 6-7 games to go it looks like the Rangers along with the Rays and Tribe are the only ones vying for that Wild Card. The Royals are just 3.5 games out but look to be out of time.
