The Night was all set up for the Chicago Sky to celebrate off into the night if they took care of business versus their toughest foe in 2013...the Indiana Fever. Well the Fever spoiled the Party as both Elena Delle Donne and Sylvia Fowles pick up some expected Hardware.

the BAD NEWS....the Sky lose to the Indiana Fever in Game 1 of the East Semis 85-72 as the Sky knew what was coming and frankly it's just a bad match up for the Sky. After the Sky battled to a 25-22 deficit in the first frame the Fever took over. The Fever then outscored the Sky 60-50 in the remaining three frames to get a huge win in the best of three series. The difference in the game was that 25-15 2nd frame that spelled gloom and doom for the Sky.

Looking at the numbers if you would have told me Fever longtime Star Tamika Catchings was to score just 11 points and grab six boards I would have told you the Sky won that game. It was the Fever Back Court that made the biggest difference as Shavonte Zellous and Briann January combined for 36 points, eight helpers, and four boards to go with just two My Bad's (Turnovers). To make matters worse for the Sky they both shot 6 for 7 with the Money Ball and that gets the Fever the win.

the GOOD NEWS...the Sky gets another game to play to become the Redeem Team at Indiana on Sunday Night. Elena Delle Donne had 20 points to lead the Sky with Guard Epiphany Prince adding 19 points and Sylvia Fowles chips in with 16 points and ten boards. The Sky will have to guard some folks on Sunday as their Achilles heel all season is their lack of solid all-around guard play. Those three players will need someone else to step up Offensively of the Sky are to beat the Fever in the Series.
