The St. Louis Cardinals are taking care of their own business as they refuse to keep watching the Scoreboard to what the Pirates and Reds are doing. Behind  nice performance from Starter Lance Lynn and more Bombs from Extra playing in a Starring Role Matt Adams the Redbirds are close to their NL Central Crown and they last had the Crow in 2009.

Lynn went 6 1/3 innings for the Redbirds as they beat the Brew Crew 7-2. He also allowed just one run on four hits as he gave out four too many free passes to first but struck out seven. The Offense came in the first as Redbirds First Baseman Matt Adams connected on a Two-Run Smash off of Brew Crew Ace Yovani "Lamborghini" Gallardo to give the Cards a 2-0 lead. The Brew Crew came back with a run in the bottom half of the first. That scored stayed put until the Redbirds put up a crooked Five in the 8th to seal the deal. Adams, Redbirds hot corner David Freese, and shortstop David Descalso each had two RBI.

The Cards still lead the Central by two full games over the Buccos who beat the Red Leg at PNC on Saturday Night 4-2. Buccos RHP and Fake Ace AJ Burnett had twelve K's through seven as he allowed two runs on four hits. The Buccos Back Stop of Russell Martin went Two-Run Job in the bottom half of the 2nd after Burnett gave up a run in the 1st and 2nd. The Red Legs then gambled on Starter Homer Bailey as he gave up two in the sixth to seal his and the Red Legs Fate.

With the "W" the Buccos stay two games behind the Redbirds for first in the NL Central. The Red Legs fall three games back and now the Redbirds are hoping to take care of Sunday Biz and the red Legs to beat the Buccos and that might be how the Central is won!
