The St. Louis Cardinals almost took it on the chin as they went back and forth with the Milwaukee Brewers ("Piwowarzy" Polish for Brewers) as the Brew Crew tied it in the 9th only for the Redbirds to strike in the 10th.

Both Starters didn't last and the Pens were somewhat suspect at times as the Redbirds get help from the Red Legs by them beating the Buccos. The Buccos in just one game back of the Redbirds in the Central and now are two games back with a costly loss.

The Top of the Redbirds Line Up did the damage with first baseman Matt Adams (filling in for All-Star Allen Craig) netting Three RBI with Holliday and Beltran adding Two RBI apiece. The Brew Crew's Aramis Ramirez (who no one picked him up at the Trade Deadline or even in August Roster moves) went in on Redbirds Pitching. A-Ram went 3 for 4 with a run scored, 5 RBI including a Three-Run HR off of Redbirds Starter Shelby Miller in the first frame. To the Cards Credit they kept focused on the big picture and get a "W".

The Redbirds now lead both the Pirates and Reds by two full games as they go head to head this weekend with the Red Legs taking game one on Friday Night.
