Here we go it will start off with the 1 Game Play-In in the Derrty South in HOTlanta where the Defending World Champion St. Louis Cardinals of Baseball Town USA will face the Atlanta Braves.

The Redbirds come in having held off the Brew Crew and the Boys in Blue for the #2 Wild Card Spot. The Braves have been chasing the NL's Best and NL East Champion Washington Nationals and fell into the the #1 NL Wild Card Spot.

This is One Game and One Game only for the Redbirds and Braves so both Managers one would think would hold no punches in this one.

REDBIRDS @ BRAVES

STL Kyle Lohse (16-3) vs ATL Kris Medlen(10-1)

Make No mistake about that the Redbirds Ace for 2K12 and moving forward is Kyle Lohse with a sparkling 16-3 record in 2K12 and a 2.86 ERA. Not a Power Pitcher by any Stretch (143 Ks). At 34 Years of Age he has been around and he will not be Shy or timid about going after the Braves Hitters. He throws an Express in the Low 90s with a Nice Hook as an Out Pitch.

Medlen has emerged as the Next Greg Maddux since he came out the Braves Bullpen. The Braves have not lost but Once in his 23 Starts and he has Grade A Stuff. He throws 4 Pitches with a 2-Seamer and a 4-Seamer. He keeps you Off Balance with his Change of Speeds with the Hook and the Change. And occasionally will throw that nice Breaking Slide Piece. We will definitely see what the Young Man is made of for sure.

REDBIRDS Offensive Stars: They are built around the Middle of their Lineup like Most Teams but 2-7 are extremely dangerous. OFs Matt Holliday (pictured) 27 HR 102 RBI .295 Avg., and Carlos Beltran (32 HR 97 RBI .269 Avg.) have more than carried the Offenses for the Oft-Injured Lance Berkman. They also have Emerging Star OF Allen Craig (22 HR 97 RBI .307 Avg) to go along with 2011 Fall Classic MVP 3B David Freese (20 HR 79 RBI .293 Avg.) and one of the Premier Back Stops in the Show in Yadier Molina (22 HR 76 RBI .315 Avg.) of the 45 Molina Brothers currently in the Show ...Lol. The Redbirds can beat you up and down the Line Up but any of these 5 Players can Hurt you Deep or with the Line Drive.

BRAVES Offensive Stars: The Braves are built around the 3 Boppers in Freeman 23 HR 94 RBI .259 Avg.), McCann (20 HR 67 RBI .230 Avg.), and Heyward  (pictured) 27 HR 82 RBI .269 Avg. with a Appetizer that's Uggla (19 HR 78 RBI .220 Avg.). After these 4 Hitters they have a Multitude of Players leading off with Lead-Off Hitter Michael Bourn.  None of the Boppers hit for Average but they hit for the Fence so what does it matter. Wayne "Chipper" Jones has Only 1 Ring and this would be a Real Treat if the Braves can Rally around "Win One for Chipper" and take him Deep into the Tourney.  The Braves will have to attack Lohse quickly if not we will have a Pitchers Duel on our hands. The One thing that concerns me if you roll with Braves Nation is their Strikeout to Hit Ratio from the Dish.

Winner: BRAVES and rolling with Medlen to do damage on the Redbirds Hitters.....
