The Tigers almost blew that Game last night but they didn't and then the Bronx Bombers Icon went down #2. Now they get what they hoped for in Game 2 and the Bronx Bombers will need to get some Offense and Offense in a hurry.

Tigers Pitcher Anibel Sanchez pitched a Masterful Game going 7 Innings striking out 7 allowing only 3 Hits and 3 Free Passes. Then Left-Hander Phil Coke and not the Original Coke or that Coke Zero just a Pitching Coke went 2 Strong Innings in Relief with 3 Strikeouts of his Own. The Yankees could do nothing as they were 4 for 31 with 10 K's and 10 Ducks in Pinstripes left on the Pond.

Yankees Starter Kuroda went 7 and 2/3 striking out 11 Tigers but gave up 3 Runs on 5 Hits and the Yanks are not scoring at all so Kuroda would  have had to pitch a No No to get the Win and still wouldn't have gotten the Win.

The Tigers now go back home to get Justin of Comerica in Game 3 and Mr. Scherzer in Game 4 and the Yanks thought they were in a Slump now it could get down right Ugly in the D in Games 3 and 4. All the Yanks Late-Inning Heroics and waiting for someone to step up late is a Series Gone By. Now they must either Hit their way back into the Series or they might get swept.

On the Senior Circuit the Redbirds jumped out after Two Innings and wen up 2-0. They also put a Crooked #4 up in the 4th while the Gigantes put up a Crooked #4 of their Own. Both Starters Bumgarner for the Giants and Lynn for the Redbirds were chased only after 3 and 2/3.

After that 4th Inning both Teams locked down the Runs with the Middle Relief and the Closers with the Redbirds Mote getting Save 1 in the NLCS. That Man again David Freese went 2-Run Big Fly as did Carlos Beltran. The Gigantes Big 3...Posey, Pence, and Panda Smash Sandoval went a combined 1 for 10 with a Run Scored. If the Gigantes are to win the Series those Three Players will have to play a Bigger Role.

Bronx Bombers and Tigers get a Travel Day while the Redbirds and Gigantes hook up Monday Night in McCovey Cove. The Starters will be Carpenter for the Redbirds and Vogelsong for the Gigantes.
