The Tampa Bay Buccaneers come into Week 8 with one thing on their Minds to get a Win and right the Ship that seems to be going South. The Purple People need some Rest and its a Short Week but they must stay on Pace with the NFC North Leading "Monsters of the Midway" the Chicago Bears and ahead of the 4-3  and 3rd Place in the NFC North Packers.

This Game will be physical as Bucs New Man Greg Schiano preaches the Trenches, a Physical Run Game, and don't stop until you see Laundry on Deck. Vikes Lead Man Leslie Frazier has quietly put his Stamp on the Vikes and they have become an NFL Team to Watch for many reasons...the Avenger #28, PERCYland USA, and that Solid Defense led by the Trio of Red Jersey Collector Allen, Backer Greenway, and Winfield Island.

NFL Thursday Night Football Week 8 is sponsored by...Bucs I don't know what #28 in Purple is made of but I have looked at Pieces of his Jersey and Nike Combat Gear under a Microscope and the Bluedude has come up with the Assumptions he is part Droid and part Avenger so we need all 53 Tackling him.

BUCCANEERS @ the Purple People..VIKINGS

BUCS to Win: The Bucs come in off of a Tough NFC South Divisional Loss at Home to the Saints. Positives out of that Contest was QB Freeman threw for a Career-High 400 Plus Yards and both Rookie RB Martin and 2nd -Year RB Blount have defined Roles. WRs Vincent Jackson is a Threat the minute he is on the Field. WR Mike Williams also is no slouch and the Bucs have a more than Credible Outside Game they will attack down filed in Bunches.

Defensively the Bucs have been inconsistent to say the least. They started out looking like a Top 10 Defense but in the past Month  have been average at best. The Bucs still have the 3rd Best Run Defense and they will challenge All Day AP of the Vikes. The Secondary has been a Huge Disappointment and the Bucs are lucky they are facing a Struggling Vikes QB in Ponder.

VIKINGS to Win: The Vikings have everything rolling but QB Ponder who in the Last Few Weeks has been taking a Few Steps Back. But his Insurance Company on Sunday is "Super Purple People #28" the Avenger..All Day A.P. and Top 5 in Rushing just 10 Months removed from ACL Surgery. Is he Human or does he have Wires in him like a Droid? AP will get a Heavy Dose Tonight vs the NFL's #3 Ranked Run D. On the outside TE Kyle Rudolph has played well but all eyes are on Former Gator All-American PERCYland USA Harvin. He is a Threat when he steps off the Charter. He and the Avenger make up the Best 1-2 Punch on Sunday and 2nd isn't even close. The Bucs need to Stop #12 and #28 and few Teams have ion 2012.

Vikes Lead Man Les Frazier has his Hands all over that Defense which has been quietly a Top 10 on Sunday. They have Pro-Bowlers on every Level led by Up front DT Kevin Williams and DE Jared Allen. Backers are led by Chad Greenway who is one of the Best ILBs on Sunday. The Back End is much improved with CB Antione Winfield and the Emergence of Rookie SS Harrison Smith from the Golden Dome in South Bend....Notre Dame. They will have their Hands Full Tonight as they face a Balanced Attack in the Bucs who can Run it and Throw it. Pressure on QB Freeman is Paramount to force the Bucs in not going down field to VJ and Williams.

Inside the Numbers

Bucs Offense 24.7 ppg (11th)
Vikings Offense 23.9 ppg (14th)

Bucs D allowing 22.7 ppg (15th)
Vikings D allowing 18.7 (6th)

Bucs D Allowing 76 Rush Yds/g (3rd)
Vikings D allowing 100.3 Rush Yds/g (12th)

Bucs D allowing 323 Pass Yards/g (31st)
Vikings D allowing 219.4 Pass Yards/g (11th)

The Bucs want to stop the Run and can't stop the Pass. The Vikings are solid at stopping both. There in lies the Chess Match and who can dictate who will win this one.

Winner: VIKINGS 23-10...They use their 2012 Winning Formula of Running the Pigskin, taking calculated Shots down field when the present themselves, don't turnover the Pigskin and create Turnovers, and play sound fundamental D...Welcome to the Minnesota Vikings 2012 with the Packers and Bears Nation watching closely.....
