The State Bird of Louisiana Hoops is making their move in the West behind Captain Pelican Jrue Holiday and Nola's "Flash" Gordon. The Pelicans jump all over the visiting Memphis Grizzlies of Team Grit & Grind Fame with the "Grindfather" Tony Allen in Uniform and beat the Grizz 104-98. The Pelicans went on a 27-11 3rd frame binge after leading at the break just 55-54. They led 82-65 only to see the Grizz make that customary NBA Run to get close but not close enough.

The Pelicans Back Court is real with Captain Pelican Jrue getting 20 points and twelve rebounds. His partner in crime "Flash" Gordon of Nola added a game-high 25 points with a very efficient 10 of 12 from the field including 3 of 3 from the Arc. The Pelicans get a season-low 6 turnovers which tells me the Grizz are a long way from  that Grit & Grind "D". Pelicans Sniper Ryan Anderson added 18 points and seven boards but hit only two Money Balls.

The Grizz get 19 points and eight boards from Jon Leuer and 18 and seven helpers from Point God Mike Conley Jr.. Grizz PF @MacBO50 Zach Randolph goes 13 points and ten boards. The Grizz just dug themselves a huge hole after three an it was too much to comeback from. I have a feeling the Grizz maybe trying to unload Salary and namely Z-Bo at the trade Deadline if anyone wants to pick up that behemoth of a Contract.

The Pelicans are over the .500 Mark at 11-10. The Grizz fall to 10-12 and they need the reigning 2012-13 NBA "Defensive Player of the Year" Spain's Marc Gasol.
