The Houston Rockets riding high after McHale Gate and a "W" near the Riverwalk in the Alamo City get "Salt in the Game" versus the New Utah Jazz. The Jazz use a 36-17 opening frame spring board and hold on to beat the #2 Team in the NBA's Southwest Division 109-103.
Behind the Jazz Back Court of Rook PG Trey Burke (21 pts 4 assts) and Gordon Hayward (29 pts 5 rebs) the Jazz go back to back wins as they foil the red-hot Red Nation Rockets. The Rockets down only 82-74 after three made their run but fell short. The reason they let the Jazz shoot over 50% from the field nearly 60% from the Arc and the Jazz shot 80% plus from the line...and for a Road Team to let that happen in the Logo that is a No No and an "L". Third-Year Jazz PG Alec Burks added 21 points of the bench for the Jazz who have found their Identity and Rotations.
The Rockets were led by "Fear the Beard" #13 dropping 37 points and waiting on eight tables while dodging "Salt" at every turn. Dwight of Three Stripes added 15 and nine boards while the rockets get 13 points from Aaron Brooks, Omri Casspi, and Francisco Garcia. The Rockets shot themselves in the foot not guarding and giving up a huge first frame to the Jazz.
The Rockets fall to 13-6 while the Jazz move to 4-15 but have won their last 4 of 6....
