The Redbirds of Baseball Town USA better keep putting them in the Right Column and them are W's as in Wins as the Buccos have caught their 2nd wind. The Pirates come out of the Motel with Zoltan in the Back of the Charter and give it to the Rangers three straight and put pressure on the Redbirds to keep winning and the Rangers in Panic Mode as they trail the Swingin' A's in the AL West.

Pirates Starter AJ Burnett decided to be the only one on the Flight back who didn't get a "W" and he cuffed them like the Good Hands People and took the Buccos home. AJ went 6 1/3 inning giving up five runs on six hits as he struck out seven and gave two free passes. He didn't bring his A-Game but late August Pick Ups Justin Morneau and Marlon Byrd had great room service as they loved Rangers Pitching and they help bail out Burnett to get him a 7-5 win. Morneau was 4 for 5 with two runs scored and Byrd 2 for 5 with a run scored. Then Ling Ball was supplied by Buccos Shortstop Clint Barmes. Barmes hit a Solo Bomb in the 8th to break up what was a 6-5 ball games after the Rangers put a crooked three up in their half of the 7th.

Ranger Starter Matt Garza had trouble locating early and it cost him. The Buccos chased him after just four innings and he allowed three runs on five hits as he struck out six but issued four free passes to Six Flags (next door to Rangers Ballpark as well as Jerry's World on the other side) and to first base. Rangers Shortstop Elvus Andrus led Texas with three ribbies.  

With the Win the Buccos put immense pressure on the Redbirds as they are only 1/2 game out. The Rangers fall 2.5 back of the A's with the A's playing in the Twin Cities tonight knowing they could have a three game lead with a "W".
