It didn't take long and the Residual Effect of No S2...Stephen Strasburg has just hit the Nats Clubhouse as G2 might have to go on Short Days Rest then what about Game 5. Davey Johnson can't pitch Doc, Sid, Ron, or Ojeda that was the '86 Amazins.

Chris Carpenter (pictured Left) went Retro Night in Nats Park showing the Nats that he also is a Dominant #1 when Legs are underneath. Carp went 5 2/3 of 7 Hit Ball, 2 Hits, 2 Free Passes, and None crossed the Dish on His Watch. A Mastery Performance and Cards Skip Matheny knew he had that in the Cards and no better time than now. The Redbirds go up 2-1 with the Possible Clincher on Thursday as they smell "Blood in Potomac".

The Nats Edwin Jackson had a Bump Time on the Proverbial Bump may I add. In just 5 Innings he gave up 4 Runs on 5 Hits and 3 of those were off the Bat of Redbirds SS Pete Kozma..a 3-Run "Big Fly' as Nats Nation was like Oh Boy Edwin. The Redbirds then tacked on after a 3-Run 2nd Frame pushed across 1 in the 1st Frame...1 in the 6th and 7th and a Crooked 2 in the 8th for good measure.

Not only did Jackson get roughed up so did that Nats Pen as they did nothing to stop the Bleeding. The Redbirds Pen didn't allow a Hit when Carp left in the Bottom Half of the 6th and allowed only 1 hit. The Game was in the Balance as the Nats didn't get to Carp in those 1st 5 2/3 leaving 11 Nats on the Bags.

Now the Redbirds will send 16-Game Winner Kyle Lohse to the Hill vs the Nats 10-Game Winner Ross Detwiler. If it goes 5 look for Wainright for the Redbirds vs G2 ...Gio Gonzalez for the Nats.

Nats no face their toughest task of 2012 holding off Elimination as their Backs are to the Potomac and don't jump yet.
