They beat up the Fightin' Fish tonight for their 15th win in their last 19 Games and Skip Charlie Manuel and the Fightin' Phils are smack dab in the NL Wild Card Race out of nowhere.

The Phils are 17 games back of the NL East leading Nats and that is a forgone conclusion but they have Life and the NL Wild Card with 19 Games left can be the Phils if they stay hot. The Phils are 8.5 back of the NL Wild Card Leading Atlanta Braves but they are within 3 Games of the Defending World Champion St. Louis Redbirds.

The Phils Starting Pitching in August was 17-12 and for September it is 9-2 2nd in the Show. Combine those numbers you get a 26-14 from your Starters and that's how you get in the Pennant Race it has to start from the Bump.

On July 13, 2012 the Phils were 37-51 and what looked to be after All-Star Break the Phils needed to have not a Fire Sale but one that resembles one. Now they are 72-71 which is a 35-20 record since then has put themselves right into the Pennant Race for 2012. And quiet enough Phils Reliever Papelbon has 34 Saves in 38 Chances.

The Phils have 19 games left in which 9 of those Games are against the NL East leading Nats and the NL Wild Card Leading Braves. There is much work to be done and all the Games ahead are  meaningful games. It's like the Phils are in or have been in a 1-Game Playoff since All-Star Break. Now they have to play as though they are the Hunted instead of the Hunter.
