Pale Hose RHP Jose Quintana controlled the Tigers Meat of the Order in Miggy and the Prince as they go 1 for 8 and the Pale Hose cruise to a 6-1 Victory behind Quintana's 7 2/3 scattering 7 Hits, allowing 1 to cross the Dish, 2 Walks, and 7 Tigers whiff.
The Game was 1-0 Tigers in the 6th when Tigers Starter Rick Porcello gets lit up. Sox OF Alex Rios goes 3-Run "Big Fly" and right behind him Sox Back Stop A.J. Pierzynski goes Solo Bomb and just like that the Sox Scoreboard looked like 4th of July.
Then the Sox get some added Insurance in the 8th when Second Baseman Gordon Beckham goes 2 Run Dinger in the bottom half of the 8th Frame to seal the Sox win at 6-1. A Nice Start for the pale Hose considering they have Jake Peavy going to the Bump on Tuesday.
The Tigers will have to regroup as their Reinforcements will come Wednesday and Thursday when they get "Monsters Inside the Battery" in Scherzer and Verlander to the Hill. Tigers collectively go 8 for 32 for average of .250 for the Game but leave 11 Ducks on the Pond and that was the Story of the Game. Chi-Sox left even more Ducks on the Pond with 15 but get Timely Hits and those Hits were the "Big Fly".
