The Blackhawks Offense came out running on all cylinders versus a hot L.A. Kings Outfit coming in on a six0game Win Streak. The Hawks get a short-handed goal to start from Marian Hossa to go up 1-0. Then later in the 1st period Kris Versteeg lit up the Sirens at the Madhouse as the Kings without Star Net Minder Jonathan Quick have been playing well in front of Kings Net Minder Ben Scrivens (7-3-4). Then the 3rd goal came just thirty some odd seconds before the end of the 1st period a Power-Play Wrister from Sharpie #10 as the Hawks went up 3-0 after one.
Those three goals stood tall as Hawks Net Minder Antti Raanta (6-1-1) held a shutout until the 16 plus minute mark in the 3rd when the Kings Alec Martinez scored to make the score 3-1. The Hawks then rolled the credits on a solid outing this after a 7-3 drubbing at the Air Canada Center the night before at the hands of the Leafs.
The Hawks move to 24-7-5 and that is 53 points the best in Ice Games in 2013-14. The Kings right there fall to 22-8-4 and 48 points and that is good for 3rd in the West and and 2nd in the Pacific behind the Mighty Ducks.
Next up for Team Indian Head is a date with the Preds of Nashville in the "Madhouse in the South" on Tuesday November 17th at 8pm ET.
