NFL Week 1 is in the books for the Early Slate Part 1...

Bears 24 Bengals 21...A new-look O-Line, a Solid Run Game, and just enough Brandon Marshall as the Bears get by the Bengals 24-21. Bengals WR AJ Green had a day with nine grabs for 162 yards and two TDs. It was the Bengals Defense using costly Time Outs and a Bonehead-type play by Rey Maualuga to seal the game.  Dalton played well as did Cutler.

Pats 23 Bills 21...they Bills had the game in their hands well had a chance to close the deal and couldn't. Tom Brady used about all the magic he had in this one as WR Danny Amendola caught ten for 104 yards. Pats RB Shane Vereen ran for 101 yards. Bills Rook QB EJ Manuel played well but it was the Bills inability to make theeeee play when it had to be made and that's their story vs the Pats.

Saints 23 Falcons 17...and when the game was on the line in the 4th lat and it was 4th and goal the Falcons go to...Roddy or Julio...no. They go to TE Tony Gonzalez and they get denied again. The Saints "D" was big-time as Saints New-Coordinator Rob Ryan had it dialed up all game long. QBs Ryan and Brees both throw for over 300 as it just came down the Saints "D" being better than the Falcons "D" on this day or vice versa.

The Seattle Seahawks did nothing for about three and  half quarters and then Seahawks QB Russell Wilson strikes for a score in typical Seattle Fashion winning 12-7. Wilson out dueled Cam Newton throwing for 300 plus yards as Cam only threw for 125 yards. That tough Seattle "D" wore the Panthers down offensively as the Panthers did out gain the Seahawks on the ground. Wilson is beyond his age as he stayed as calm as a QB could be in the light of things for three frames not going his way..."Patience is of Virtue" with that young man.
