The Cincinnati Reds didn't need a Memo to tell them Saturday was a game they needed to stay close in the NL Central Race with the End of September near. The Reds behind Offensive Production from the top of that Line Up beat the Brew Crew 7-3 to stay three games behind the Redbirds and and two behind the Buccos.
Red Legs Homer Bailey gets win #11 vs ten defeats as he allows three runs on five hits through seven as he struck out three and walked four. The Offense was supplied early as the Red Legs put a crooked two up in the 1st and 2nd Innings. Both 1B Joey Votto and CF Shin-Soo Choo go Two-Run Bombs as Brew Crew Starter Johnny Hellweg gets touched up for four runs on eight hits through five innings. The Brew Crew made a push as it was just 4-3 heading into the 6th with the Brew Crew putting up z crooked three up in the 4th. Joey Votto made it 6-3 with the two-run bomb in that 6th inning and they add one more as the Cuban Rocket Aroldis Chapman aka Red Legs Captain Save-A-Game gets Save #36 vs five ending Skip Dusty didn't like.
The red Legs have work to but something tells me they will be in their until that last three-game set to end the season...Redbirds and Buccos beware!
