The Washington Redskins glaring needs are on the Defensive Side of the Wilson Pigskin coupled with a few holes at the Offensive Side at Tight End. The 'Skins and Shanahan wasted no time in shoring up the Secondary in the 2013 Draft in which they get three potential starters in the back end with two really good Safeties who had higher grades then where they went. Also in the 'Skins Zone-Blocking Scheme Running Attack you cane never have enough good backs and Shanahan always keeps them stocked like the 'Skins Equipment room of Spikes and Helmets. The 'Skins and D-Coordinator Jim Haslett have to be feeling good from a Defensive Standpoint as he gets some new Toys.

2013 Draft Picks of the Redskins

Round Pick Position Player School

2 19 CB David Amerson #NCSU

3 23 TE Jordan Reed #Gators

4 22 SS Phillip Thomas #FresnoSt

5 21 RB Chris Thompson #Noles

5 29 DE Brandon Jenkins #Noles

6 23 FS Baccari Rambo #BetweenTheHedgesU

7 22 RB Jawan Jamison #StateUofNJ

Amerson is an excellent pick for the 'Skins Secondary as they repeatedly got burned at Corner in 2012....he will most likely play opposite of DeAngelo Hall

Reed will learn quickly as he will move in behind oft-injured TE Fred Davis and he needs to be ready.....another Weapon for the 'Skins in the Run Game and Passing Game

Thomas and Rambo are the Future at Safety and the 'Skins get them Big-Time Starters at Safety in One Draft....Thomas left Fresno early as a Junior and Rambo played with 2013 Bengals Draft Pick SS Shawne Williams and all those UGA Backers like Jarvis Jones (Steelers) and Alec Ogletree (Rams). Shanahan reportedly has said that Rambo will move to Strong Safety and Thomas to Free Safety.

They go FSU 'Noles in the 5th Round with a RB and DE to add to the Depth at both positions...as well as in the 7th another RB to ad to the mix....

Overall Grade for the 'Skins with Three Day One Starters in that Secondary is C+
