The 2012-13 Finalists have been announced for the NHL's MVP known as the Hart Trophy and there will be some arguments and disappointed folks on this one but it happens.

The Three Finalists for the "Fight for Dr. Hart" 2012-13:

Center Sid "the Kid" Crosby #Pens
Right Wing "Alexander the Great" Ovechkin #Caps
Center John "J.T." Tavares #Isles

The Top Two Names left off the "Fight for Dr. Hart" 2012-13:

Center Jonathan Toews #FrozenTalkHawks
Center Martin St. Louis #Bolts

The Argument against both "Ove" and J.T. and even Sid:

Ovechkin Plus Minus wasn't high (+2) as was Tavares (-2) but the game doesn't center around that as Ovechkin started late but its how you finish and Membership has its privileges. Tavares is only 22 years of age and that's scary but to put him in front of Jonathan Toews as "Toewser" was the best player on the best Team in 2012-13.

St. Louis will be the 1st player since the "Great One" Wayne Gretzky to win the "Fight for Ross" Trophy (Ice Games Scoring Champ) to not be a finalist for the Hart Trophy.

Both Toews (+28) and Crosby (+26) were 3rd and 4th in the NHL in 2012-13 in Plus/Minus

I would have definitely put Toews on the List for the Hart trophy instead of Tavares....
