The 2012 NL MVP Race has come down to 3 Individual as One was the 2011 NL MVP and locked up into BRAUNgate last season. The Other is the Best Back Stop in all of Baseball. Last but not least he led the resurgence of the Buccos and the NL in a Few Key Hitting Categories.

The Top 3 Nominees are...in any order

1. OF Andrew McCutchen Pirates
2. C Buster Posey Gigantes
3. OF Ryan Braun Brewers

Key Numbers and NL Ranking in Parenthesis

1. McCUTCHEN Buccos: .327 Avg (2nd) 31 Bombs (8th) RBIs 96 (11th) 194 Hits (1st) Runs 107 (2nd) OPS .953 (3rd)

McCutchen dominated the NL with 107 Runs, the Most Hits, 2nd on the Senior Circuit in Average and 3rd in OPS = On Base Percentage + Slugging Percentage

2. POSEY Gigantes: .336 Avg. (1st) 24 Bombs (22nd) RBIs 103 (6th) 178 Hits (8th) Runs 78 (34th) OPS .957 (2nd)

Posey as the #1 in Average in the NL and a Catcher. His OPS is 2nd in the NL as well. Top 10 in 4 Categories and he and Mauer when he was Catching are the Two Best Hitting Backstops since Pudge Rodriguez.

3. BRAUN Brew Crew: .319 Avg. (3rd) 41 Bombs (1st) RBIs 112 (2nd) 191 Hits (2nd) Runs 108 (1st) OPS .987 (1st)

He could be a Repeat and he is Top 3 in all Categories and that is extremely Impressive. He was MVP Last Season and one could argue his 2012 Season as a Whole is better than the 20 Season.

The Race will be close and If i was playing with House Money it would be Braun.
