The Dodger getting swept a few weeks ago at the hands of the Giants in Chavez Ravine has caught up with them and the Giants now can put the Lid on the Dodgers Coffin for winning the NL West in 2012.

The Boys in Blue come into McCovey Cove behind 4.5 Games in the NL West and 1.5 Games back of the #2 NL Wild Card Redbirds. The Dodgers must get at least 2 out of 3 and a Sweep would put them right back into the NL West Race.

The Gigantes at the same token are only worried about winning the NL West as that would propel them into the NL Divisional Playoffs and not that One-Game makes no Sense Playoff for the NL #4 Team to get in. The Boys of McCovey Cove know that the Head to Head Match Up is the only way the Dodgers can make up immediate ground.

BOYS in BLUE @ GIGANTES 3 Piece Preview

September 8, 2012

September 9, 2012 ESPN Sunday Night Baseball *
LAD Kershaw (12-8) vs SF Zito (10-8) 8:05PM ET

The Biggest Game in the Series is the Next Game which is Tonight with you would think a Rejuvenated Josh Beckett against a Better than 1st Half Tim Lincecum. The 1st game of a Series sets the Tempo for the next Set  of Games.

The Giants will have the Edge on Saturday at least from the Bump with 2012 MLB NL All-Star Game Starter Matt Cain vs the Dodgers Cuapano.

Then on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball*...2011 Cy Young Winner Clayton Kershaw of the Boys in Blue will face fellow LHP Barry Zito in which the Dodgers have the Edge but will it be to avoid the Sweep, win Two out of Three, or Sweep the Gigantes. Time will tell as the NL West is the Giants to lose going in.
