They had a Great Game Plan but the Game Plan went out the Window and into River Thames after the Break as Spain just had too many Horses to over come for Russia.
Led by Pau Gasol of the LAKEshow and Jose Calderon of the T-Rex Boyz North of the Border it was to much for the Russians to handle down the Stretch as Spain wins 67-59. Former Rock Chalk Jayhawk Sasha Kaun led Team Russia with 14 Points and the T'Wolves 2012 FA Pick Up AK47...Andrei Kirilenko gets 10.
The Spaniards used the Money Ball as the Equalizer then woe the Russians down after taking the Lead by going through Both Gasol Brothers an combining both of them is a Load for everyone but Team USA. The Russians Game Plan was to slow it down and play Greta Half Court D and make Spain execute their Half Court Sets and that worked in the 1st Two Frames. But a Block here and there and a run out or leak out and Spain got a little in Transition and that caught up with Russia.
Now the Russians will have to play the Loser of Argentina and Team USA Loser for a Bronze Medal. Meanwhile Spain awaits for what they hoped for ultimately...a Shot at Team USA with GOLD on every ones Mind.
