The NL Leaders in Slugging Percentage combined with On Base Percentage will find themselves at the end of the Season with Accolades from their play at the Dish.

Analyzing the Situation even closer McCutchen of the Buccos, Braun of the Brew Crew, Posey of the Gigantes , and Carlos Gonzalez have a lot in common. They are all in the running for the 2012 NL MVP and they all are Top in the NL in On Base Percentage and Slugging Percentage.

Introducing the 2012 NL Leaders Late-August in On Base Percentage + Slugging Percentage =Show Fame and Fortune is sponsored by...Whether it is Ash or Maple....Nike or Under Armour...I shall hit the Hardball and get on the Base Paths.

The NL's Top 15 in Base Path 400 and Slugging 500...MLB Courses

* Denotes in the Running for 2012 NL MVP

1. McCuthchen BUCCOS .999
2. Braun BREW CREW .986
3. Posey GIGANTES .940
4. Gonzalez ROCKIES .931
5. Wright AMAZINS' .930

6. Holliday REDBIRDS .896
7. Fowler ROCKIES .890
8. Kubel D-BACKS .886
8. Goldschmidt D-BACKS .886
10. Molina REDBIRDS .878

10. Beltran REDBIRDS .878
12. Hill D-BACKS .857
13. Ramirez BREW CREW .857
14. Montero D-BACKS .854
15. Bruce REDS .852

The D-Backs have 4 Players in the Top 15 and none of them are in the 2012 NL MVP Race. The D-Backs are also #5 in Runs Scored as a Team and #3 in the NL as a Team in OPS.

The NL MVP Candidates are all at the Top in McCutchen Posey, Braun, and Holliday and you could easily throw in Wright of the Amazins' and Gonzo of the Rockies.

I think the NL MVP just like the AL is a Two-Trick Pony in Buccos McCutchen and Gigantes Posey.
