He won't get the HR Title, or Ribbies Title or even the Batting Average Title. What he is though is the Backbone of the AL Central leading Chicago White Sox Baseball Club. Plays through Injuries, toughs as Nails, you hate him if he is playing against you and love him if he is on your side.

At 35 Years of Age Pale Hose Back Stop A.J. Pierzynski is having a Career Year and Yes he will not command Big Money as this is the Last Year of his Contract but Sox GM Kenny Williams knows how important he is to the Team on the Field and in the Clubhouse.

If you kept track of how many important Hits or Plays AJ has made for the Pale Hose in 2012 you would give him the 2012 AL MVP Trophy now. The Trophy in all actuality will probably go to one of two Players in the Anaheim Halos Rookie CH mike Trout (who is a Big Fly for AL Rookie Of the Year 2012) and Tigers 3B Miggy Cabrera. Piersznski should be in the Conversation though as he is doing what the other Two Players are nit...the Pale Hose are in 1st with the Tiger Trailing them and th Halos in 3rd in the AL West as we go to press.

Taking a look at Pierzynski Numbers for the 2012 Pale Hose:

.298 Avg  23 Bombs  68 Ribbies 108 Hits  54 Runs 14 Doubles

Not to mention all those Plays that don't go into the Numbers. Knowing how Pierzynski plays the Game and his drive to put up W's you could ask him is it the AL MVP or a Chance to go deep in the Playoffs. Ask that 100 Times and he would tell you 200 times its all about Winning and the Rings.
