We know Signal Caller Rivers had a bad Year and even by his own remittance it was Bad. Rivers wasn't the Only Problem as the Chargers on Defense need to get back to just plain old playing Fundamentally Sound Defense and Winning Football.

It starts at Rivers and Ends with Rivers but its 22 Starters and the Bolts need all hands on Deck because the AFC West is waiting for the Bolts Window to close. Bad News on the Offense right out the gate is RB Ryan Mathews has a Broken Clavicle and will be out 4-6 Weeks. Another Issue is Rivers Option 1B in the Passing Game is gone also..Vincent Jackson. Who will Rise up to meet an Ultra-Slimmed down Antonio Gates and 2012 Free Agent Pick Up WR Robert Meacham?

Defensively all over the Field the Bolts are still rolling with Players on the Backside of their Prime. Takeo Spikes, Shaun Phillips, and Quentin Jammer all are on their last legs and OLB Jarret Johnson was a Nice Free Agent Pick Up. The Back End has FS Eric Weddle and former Packers and 12 Zone Castoff if he can stay healthy. The Chargers will have to Win Games on their Defense if they are up to the task.

Key Players and Free Agent Acquisitions for 2012:

QB P. Rivers
RB R. Mathews
WR R. Meacham (2012 FA Pick Up Who Dat)
TE A. Gates
WR M. Floyd
C N. Hardwick

DE C. Liuget (2011 1st Round Pick)
OLB S. Phillips
ILB T. Spikes
OLB J. Johnson (2012 FA Pick Up Ravens)
CB A. Cason
FS E. Weddle
OLB M. Ingram (2012 1st Round Pick)

The Offense is still in Tact with a slimmed down Gates and Big-Time Saints FA Pick Up Robert Meacham. Mathews already on the Shelf for 4-6 is a Big Blow. Former Dolphin RB Ronnie Brown should be able to carry the Load for at least a Month to a Month and a Half.

Defensively they have plugged some areas with Former Raven OLB Johnson and hopefully 1st Round Pick OLB/DE Mel Ingram can get up to Speed quickly. Weddle will need SS Atari Bigby to play Big and also stay Healthy.
