I don't know if it was a tale of two halves of football or what but the New York Football Giants came to play albeit that play came with the usual 2k18 G-Men blunders they pulled it off. A 30-27 "W" in extras over a Bear Team that was surging and feeling themselves and rightfully so.
Chicago in control at the break up 14-10 let their guard down and the G-Men hit them with a 14-0 run in the 3rd including a Odell Beckham Jr. touchdown pass to WR Sterling Shephard covering 49 yards. The G-Men then added an Eli Manning 1-yard pass TD to Beckham Jr. making the score 24-14 New York.
That score stayed in place until the 4th with both team trading field goals making the score 27-17 G-Men. With the game seemingly out of reach and the G-Men up 27-17 with just under two minutes remaining and the Bears with one timeout the Bears did the unthinkable.
They kicked FG making it 27-20 and with no time outs left they needed the onside kick which never turns into the kicking teams favor unless your playing the 2k18 G-Men and the Bears recovered that. Chicago needing a score with the help of some G-Men dirty laundry (Penalties) it was Bears RB Pass from RB Tarik Cohen to Bears WR Anthony Miller as time expired in regulation for a 27-27 tie as the extra-point was good sending it to extras!
New York did what they were suppose to do driving the Wilson pigskin down for an Aldrick Rosas 49-yd FG after an Eli Manning to Sterling Shephard potential game-winning TD pass was dropped by Shephard.
With the score 30-27 New York the Bears drove dow the field and at least needing a FG goes 8 plays for 15 yards only to lose on downs a G-Men CB Janoris Jenkins knocks the pigskin away from the Bears Anthony Miller with no safety help over top for a G-Men win!
Bears JV QB Chas Daniel played well minus the two INTs throwing for 285 yards on 26 for 39 and a TD. Both Bears RBs Tarik Cohen and Jordan Howard combined for 106 yards on the ground on 24 carries. It was Cohen in the vertical passing game that was big as he grabbed a dozen Wilson pigskins for 156 yards including a 46-yarder that set up the game-tying TD in the end of regulation.
G-Men Rookie stud RB from #WeAre Penn State Saquon Barkley ran for 125 yards on 24 carries as New York was balanced enough to keep the Bears guessing all game long. That Bears "D" had three sacks while the G-Men had five sacks.
Now the Bears scoreboard watch the Vikings/Patriots Tilt leaving New York as Chicago falls to 8-4. The g-Men winners of their last three of four since the bye week moves to 4-8 as they are poised to ruin someones playoff hopes in December.
