Bluedude Sportstalk takes you back into Steelers Lore with a 1990s First Round Picks as we head into the new year we will cover all the 1990s Top Picks for Pittsburgh. Starting off is a Tight End before his time and arguably one of the best athletes at his size the Steelers have ever drafted.
Liberty University Football's behemoth of a man Tight End Eric Green was the Steelers #1 overall pick in the 1990 NFL Draft (21st overall). At 6-5 and north of 280 el bees this man was athletic as all get out. How athletic well a two-time pro bowler (1993-94) and the Steelers had this man playing everywhere but on the other side of he Wilson pigskin.

Steelers QB Bubby Brister loved his new toy as Green would line up in the slot, h-back, WR, RB and even wing back. Yes that Power-I formation Pittsburgh was known for Green knew the whole position tree and played all is these positions.

How productive was Green well he amassed from 1990-94 with Pittsburgh 198 grabs for 2,681 yards and 24 in your end zone. Those 1993-94 numbers didn't go unnoticed as Green was elected to the Pro Bowl twice in back to back seasons.

He would go onto play for Dolphins, new Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets...
